Privacy Policy

Odin Network ("we", "us") is a private, invitation-only network for business owners and executives. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, where it lives, and the rights you have. It covers this website (odinnetworkapp.com), the Odin Network app (app.odinnetworkapp.com and the mobile apps), and our API.

1. This website

The landing site you are reading now runs no analytics, sets no cookies, and loads nothing from third-party servers. The only thing it stores on your device is your language choice (in your browser's localStorage, if you use the language picker). Our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and troubleshooting.

2. Data we collect in the app

• Invitation and account data. Membership is by invitation only. An invitation is bound to your mobile phone number; we use that number to verify you with a one-time SMS code and as your sign-in identity.
• Profile data. What you choose to put on your profile: name, role and company, city, what you build and what you are looking for, and an optional photo or company logo you upload.
• Content. Posts you put on the board (partnerships, services offered or needed) and interest you express in other members' posts.
• Activity data. Basic records of actions in the app (for example when a post was created or closed), used to run and secure the service.

3. What we use it for

• Verifying that the person redeeming an invitation is the person it was sent to.
• Showing your profile and posts to other vouched members — that is the product.
• Operating, securing, and improving the service.

What we do not do: we do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising, we do not track you across other websites, and profiles are never public — the directory is visible to members only. Interest in a post is shown only to the post's owner and to administrators, never to other members.

4. WhatsApp

When an introduction happens, the app hands you off to WhatsApp — the conversation itself takes place there, between you and the other member, under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. We are not a party to those conversations and cannot see them.

5. Where data lives and who processes it

• Hosting: our servers run at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (EU). All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS).
• SMS verification: one-time codes are sent through Twilio Inc. Twilio processes your phone number to deliver the code and may do so on infrastructure outside the EEA, subject to appropriate safeguards (EU standard contractual clauses).
• Backups: encrypted backups are kept for up to 30 days on storage in Germany, then deleted automatically.

6. How long we keep it

Account, profile, and content data are kept while you are a member. If your membership ends, this data is removed from the live service and rolls out of backups within 30 days. Server logs are kept briefly and rotated automatically.

7. Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data to perform our agreement with you (running your membership), on our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and invitation-only), and on your consent where we ask for it (for example an optional profile photo).

8. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, or object to processing. Write to privacy@odinnetworkapp.com from a way we can verify (ideally the phone number on your account, or the email you have used with us). If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you also have the right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority.

9. Children

Odin Network is a professional network for business owners and executives. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly process their data.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, the new version appears here with a new date. If a change meaningfully affects how your data is handled, we will tell members in the app.
